Importance of Upsetting Test for Numerical Simulation of Forming Processes
Tinka, Petr ; Dohnal, Ivo (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
The thesis deals primarily with the creation of a material model for numerical simulation using an upsetting test for steel 17 240, a layer of Delta 144 was applied on the steel. From the obtained values of force and path, a material model was created which serves for characterization material for numerical simulation. The simulation was performed in ANSYS Workbench 19.0. From this, force and path are obtained, which is used to compare with the upsetting test. It is clear from the comparison that the values do not differ too much, and it is possible to use this material for numerical simulation.
Optimalization of parts bonded by hot crimping
Liškář, Ladislav ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
The thesis describes the procedure for verifying the conceptual ideas of the company. Design and production of prototypes, testing and evaluation, quantifying savings. Two variants of crimped bond were chosen. For each was length of shaft changed to three and four crimped grooves. These prototypes were tested in two static and one dynamic tests. Recommendation for company is continue with other phases of development for shaft with four grooves.
Evaluation of upsetting test
Vávra, Roman ; Císařová, Michaela (referee) ; Řiháček, Jan (advisor)
This work is focused on theoretical and practical processing upsetting test. There is an explanation of their significance in engineering. Also, there are described various kinds of tests and their evaluation. Furthermore, the work deals with the experiment for a specified material MS 68. This material was compacted using two test machines equipped with measuring software. First machine is a hydraulic press CZR 600 with software DEWESoft and the second is a universal testing machine ZD 40 using software M-Test. An evaluation based on the collected data is included in the form of deformation resistance curves of tested material.
Optimalization of Temperature for Semi-hot Forming of Roll Bearings
Hrouzková, Andrea ; Klakurková, Lenka (referee) ; Doležal, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis solve the problems about optimalization of temperature for semi-hot forming of roll bearings steels. The purpose of this thesis is finding the optimal interval of temperatures, in which 100CrMnSi6-4 bearing steel shows good strain and deformation characteristics after forming. Methods for data evaluation of mechanical properties are the tensile and upsetting tests which were performed on higher temperatures. It was microscoped microstructure changes of the bearing steel 100CrMnSi6-4 during temperature influence and classification with the light microscope.
Friction in forming proceses
Pažítková, Monika ; Dvořák, Milan (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis deals with tests of forming operations, which are used to determine coefficient of friction. In the theoretical part of thesis, the individual tests are described in details, with the greatest emphasis on the upsetting test. In the experimental part of thesis was perform upsetting test on the cylindrical and ring samples. Coefficient of friction of the cylindrical samples was determined by a calculation method and ring samples were evaluated using diagram of calibration. The thesis includes comparison of the result received on lubricant and unlubricated samples and method for determined coefficient of friction. Graphite Delta 144 was used as a lubricant. This result show that the lubricant has a positive effect on forming process.

The determination of mechanical properties of forming materials
Záškoda, David ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
This literary study, which is elaborated in terms of study of baccalaureate, is treating of methodies detection mechanical characteristics of wrought materials and of their basic principles. Main interest is in basic mechanical tests (for example: tensile force, pressure) and examination possible methods of detection hardness and microhardness of materials.
Forming of titanium alloys
Bednařík, Josef ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
The work was focused on the forming of titanium and its alloys in order to verify the ductile properties of titanium alloy VT 3-1. Using the upsetting test performed on the CZR 600 press and processed in the Dewesoft application, the strengthening curves for compaction at temperatures ranging from 25 °C to 800 °C were compiled. Based on the performed experiments, the titanium alloy VT 3-1 can be recommended for forming only at higher temperatures. It is recommended to select 700 °C as the lowest forging temperature limit. The material when being upset at lower temperatures showed poor formability due to the strengthening of the material. The yield strength during upsetting at room temperature was measured to be 1 100,8 MPa. In contrast, at 800 °C it has a value of 321,7 MPa. Hardness was determined before and after the test as an additional measurement. After the test, the measurement was performed on the front of the sample and in section. At 700 °C and 800 °C, the hardness resulted in dynamic recrystallization, which resulted in a decrease in hardness. The highest hardness was recorded in the middle of the sample at all temperatures. This result confirmed the thesis that there is a band of the most intense deformation in the perpendicular and axial direction of the sample.
